In the process of growing all field crops, we focus on the optimal interaction of traditional and time-tested procedures verified by many generations of farmers with all the advantages of modern technologies and current innovative knowledge from practically around the world.

We use a comprehensive precision agriculture system PREFARM^® from soil sampling and establishing stands (variable seeding), through optimal, targeted and precise application of only the necessary amounts of fertilizers and crop protection products to monitoring crop yields during combine harvesting.

The purpose of this effort is to manage ecologically consciously, economically efficiently and with an emphasis on optimal use of all resources to grow quality agricultural production.

We consider it essential to manage with maximum regard to the health of the soil, landscape and all its inhabitants – human and animal. An integral part of this approach is therefore a constant effort to improve soil fertility, for example: with balanced and diverse crop rotation (we currently grow, for example, winter wheat (20% of arable land), winter rapeseed (14%), malting spring and winter barley (17%), poppy seed (6%), sugar beet (15%), silage and grain corn (12%), sainfoin, Pannonian vetch, meadow clover, serradella, white mustard, birdsfoot trefoil, milk thistle, field bean, winter pea, garden cress, common buckwheat and hemp), after harvesting the main crop, we establish stands of species-diverse cover crop mixtures, continuously lime fields, apply organic fertilizers and, if necessary, improve soil structure with deep loosening.

We use industrial fertilizers and crop protection products only to the extent necessary, precisely with regard to the permanent sustainability of our farming and with an emphasis on protecting the landscape and all natural resources.

On the land of Farma Stachov, s.r.o. we are already operating entirely in ECO mode and our intention is to gradually expand the area of organic farming.
